The two-way bike path and separate footpath on the St Patrick’s College side of Evans Bay Parade, between Cobham Drive and Kilbirnie Crescent, have replaced the shared path. Separate paths will make things safer and easier for everyone.

At the Kilbirnie end, the bike path connects with the new paths on Rongotai Road. At the Cobham Drive end, the path connects with the shared path on Evans Bay as far as NIWA at Greta Point. In time it will connect with the new two-way bike path being built around Evans Bay and part of Oriental Bay, and the new path being constructed on Cobham Drive. It is part of a network connecting Kilbirnie with the city, Newtown and other parts of the eastern suburbs.
